Sven Nyegaard is a writer and thinker originally from Phoenix, Arizona. He has degrees in mathematics, science, philosophy, and theology. He has spent a lifetime transitioning between religions and careers. Sven is uniquely positioned to view character and story from many perspectives. He firmly believes that the heartfelt power of story can meet the mysterious nature of reality and inform our responses. Sven’s ideal reader sees the world differently from how it’s been presented and seeks an authentic way to engage with it. His working artistic idea is “what if Socrates wrote a mystery (or sci-fi or horror) novel?”
After studying for the priesthood, he embarked on a career as a software engineer while working in the evenings to figure out the meaning of life. He retired from his role as an IT professional at a major law firm and decided to become a writer, exploring the art of questioning reality through creative storytelling. He currently lives near Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife, a retired musician, in a cabin on a lake. They travel every winter in their tiny camper with their oversized dog to Texas to escape the cold.
